Eight audio installations around the park recreate Leonardo da Vinci’s thoughts, in French, Italian, English and German. For the hearing impaired, the transcripts of the audio installations are available from the ticket office.

We would like to thank visitors in advance for wearing face masks outside when social distancing is not possible, when queuing, as well as in enclosed spaces (the castle, shops, exhibitions...).

Guided tour (only in French)

Guided tours of the property are currently suspended.
As an alternative, book a tour with our guide and take a historic walk around Leonardo da Vinci Park. A chance to learn more about the multi-faceted Italian master of painting, botany, architecture, engineering and more while you discover his sources of inspiration. In French

"Two-voiced" guided tour

Exceptionally, the head gardener of Clos Lucé accompanied by a tour guide meet you on Thursdays 29 July, 5 and 12 August for an exclusive tour of the park. On the program: discovery of the domain's history and architecture, presentation of the park management, initiation to the work of Leonardo da Vinci as an engineer and botanist.

As an alternative to the guided tour of the property advertised, visit Leonardo da Vinci Park, an open-air museum, and listen with your family to the story of Clos Lucé and learn all about the multi-talented Leonardo da Vinci :

→ Summer holidays (from 3rd July to 31st August), daily : 11 am, 2.15pm
→ From 18th to 30th October, from Monday to Saturday : 11 am, 2.15pm

GUIDED TOUR WITH MATHURINE IN ENGLISH (ONLY FOR GROUPS) :

To make your visit easier

Here at Le Clos Lucé we are keen to help families really enjoy their visit. To make sure that it is as successful as possible, we have available:

- a picnic area in the park with several tables in the shade
- facilities to heat bottles
- specially-adapted toilet blocks with low-level basins, stepstools and adapted washbasin

Le Clos Lucé offers special rates for large families and packages for families with 2, 3 and 4 children.

Play area in partnership with Proludic.

Come and discover the 7 metre high tower, from the Metropolis product range imagined and designed by Proludic, leading French manufacturer in outdoor play and sports equipment, which evokes the futuristic-retro theme, drawing its inspiration from the world of invention, where ultra-modern architecture blends with old machinery, echoing Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions. The inventor's notebook (7-12 years old)

Where did Leonardo get his brilliant ideas from?

For children from 7 to 12, the Clos Lucé offers Le Carnet de l'Inventeur (The Inventor's Notebook), a booklet to introduce Le Clos Lucé in a fun way. Each child becomes one of Leonardo's students, and he tells them his "tricks and tips", giving them key information to invent an incredible machine. You can pick up at the ticket office.
